Design Intent
The concept for Burnt Oaks draws deeply from the quiet elegance of the European farmhouse — timeless, warm, and gracefully aged. The design utilizes natural materials and understated detailing to echo generations-old craftsmanship while supporting modern North Dakota living.

Material & Finish Direction
Guided by Alexa Kingery Interiors, the planned interiors reflect a palette that is timeless, tactile, and naturally worn-in, including:
lightly weathered hardwood floors
- stone walls and soft plaster moments
- aged brass and patinated metal accents
- custom warm-toned cabinetry that brings depth and character
These finishes aren’t selected as “decor,” but as a continuation of the architectural story — materials that age beautifully, gain soul over time, and align with the European farmhouse influence.

Performance & Wellness Intent
Truebuild Homes is approaching Burnt Oaks with a strong design-build emphasis on performance, incorporating:
- a planned ERV system for healthier indoor air
- high-efficiency mechanicals built for North Dakota’s climate
- construction detailing aimed at longevity and comfort
- systems designed to support future resilience and ease of maintenance
This pairing of craftsmanship and wellness is central to the concept — a legacy home that lives comfortably today and endures for generations.
